Health Claim

The European Union (EU) regulates a legal framework for the food industry and operators to highlight the food's health and nutritional benefits on the packaging. In doing this, the European Food Safety Association evaluates and approves the Health Claim based on scientific evidence, which is then listed (Commission Regulation (EU) 432/2012) and regulated by the European Commission. This Health Claim ensures that any claim on the food labelling, presentation and advertising are clearly stated and accurate without any misrepresentation that can mislead consumers.
